For the right materials.

To make furniture that lasts a lifetime, you need the best quality materials.

At the core of our philosophy lies the principle of matching the material precisely to its intended purpose. From the beauty and strength of solid oak for our furniture, to the robust structural integrity of hardwood plywood for our fitted cabinetry, we carefully select each component.

Whenever feasible, we prioritise the use of natural materials. Not only do they contribute to environmental sustainability, but they also promote overall well-being. Our commitment to quality extends to excluding MDF or chipboard from our designs, recognizing the potential hazards they pose to both ecosystems and personal health.

Through collaborative efforts with esteemed partners, we ensure a consistent supply of premium materials across our collection, ranging from durable Harris Tweed to luxurious New Zealand sheepskins.

For the level of craftmanship.

Taking inspiration from the enduring quality and beauty of antique furniture, we aim for a seamless blend between traditional techniques and contemporary engineering.

Nature also plays a central role in our design philosophy. Whether it's capturing the intricate interplay of natural light and shadow in our lighting concepts or harnessing the timeless strength of oak in our timber furniture, the outdoors serves as a constant wellspring of creativity for us.

While we cherish tradition, we also embrace innovation. Staying at the forefront of technological and engineering advancements, we continuously seek out novel solutions to common challenges. Case in point: our groundbreaking wood finish, IsoGuard®, which offers unparalleled protection while allowing the innate beauty of the timber to shine through.

For the level of service.

As a family business, our service is both fundamental to our reputation, and also a reflection of our passion for design. Every project is personal to us, and it is just as important that you enjoy the process of our designs as well as the finished product in your home.

The same for a candle as a kitchen, we aim to deliver the best for every customer service experience.

Our store, like every Neptune store, is designed to feel just like a home. A place to unwind and be inspired, where you can chat to us about your ideas and projects, shop all of our interiors accessories and envision our designs seamlessly integrated into your own living space.

For a sustainable approach.

We are firmly against the throwaway culture and fleeting trends prevalent in interior design. We value timelessness, and by using sustainable materials and techniques, our furniture is designed for living and made for life.

It is important to us that we acknowledge and recognise that, when using real wood products, there is a need for regeneration. That’s why we are careful to source sustainable timber and also why Neptune has partnered with Stump Up, to plant a total of 3.5 trees for every tree we use.

Our manufacturing sites are powered by energy-efficient heat pumps and renewable energy and are dedicated to minimizing waste. Using real wood in our cabinetry and furniture means that, when we need to, we can repair and restore rather than replace. That’s how we can offer and honour our lifetime guarantee on our kitchens, so they can continued to be used and loved for many years to come.

We look forward to sharing our passion for beautiful, traditional kitchens and interiors with you.
